Why is NZCT moving to a new grants system?

Our current system has served NZCT well, but it is built on a software platform that will soon be unsupported by Microsoft. We need a system that is future-proofed and so chose to move to Fluxx. Fluxx is widely used by other funders in New Zealand and so many of our applicants will have some familiarity with how it operates.

When will the changeover to the new grants system happen?

On 5 December, our current grants system will shut down and you will no longer be able to access it. Any live application or grant requiring accountability will be transferred to the new system. When the new system goes live on 12 December we’ll send you login details so you can pick up where you left off. We’ll more or less be asking for the same things, but the system will look different.

What can I do about my application or accountability between when the old grant system shuts down and the new system starts?

Nothing, unfortunately. You can be collating relevant documents at your end. But you’ll need to wait until the new system is launched before you start or continue with your application or accountability.

How will I access the new grants system?

If you have been involved with an NZCT application in the last seven years, we’ll send you login details after the new grants system goes live. If you haven’t, you’ll need to register as new.

Can I use the same username and password?

No. If you have been involved with an NZCT application (regardless of whether it was approved or declined) in the last seven years, we’ll send you new login details when the new grants system goes live. All other applicants will need to register as new.

Will I lose a submitted application when the changeover to the new grant system happens? And what about accounting for a grant my organisation has received?

Any live application (one that has been submitted to us, not a draft) or grant requiring accountability will be transferred to the new system. When the new system goes live, we’ll send you login details so you can pick up where you left off. We’ll more or less be asking for the same things, but the system will look different.

Draft applications that haven’t been submitted to us before the old system shuts down will be lost. If you have a draft application, you need to complete and submit it before the current system shuts down or wait until Fluxx goes live and start your application again.

Will I be able to view my old applications?

Any approved or declined application since 2012 will be visible. If you need information on older or declined grants, you will need to contact NZCT on 0800 44 69 28 or at grants@nzct.org.nz

Who do I talk to if I need help with the new system?

We have tried to make the new system as user-friendly as possible and it includes lots of explanatory text. However, if you need help with something, please contact the grants team on 0800 44 69 28 or at grants@nzct.org.nz.
