NZCT FIRST CHARITY GAMING ORGANISATION TO GET ISO STATUS
NZCT is the first and only gaming organisation in the country to become ISO accredited.
The internationally recognised ISO 9001 status represents another message of transparency and honesty which NZCT is enthusiastic to embrace in all of its operations in New Zealand.
NZCT chief executive, Mike Knell, says the accreditation will also provide confidence for gaming watchdog the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) that NZCT is enthusiastically fulfilling its regulatory obligations.
"We believe that it's an important signal to the gaming industry in general, underlining our intention to be recognised as a serious and sensible player in the industry," says Mr Knell.
He also believes that there's now a bench mark and a challenge for other players in the gaming industry to aspire to.
"We knew that the ISO road would be a difficult one to go down and we had to make some challenging changes to the way that we operate.
"We're proud to be the first gaming organisation to be ISO accredited in this country and we're showing our members, the public and the authorities how we can hold our heads up high and meet the rigorous standards and procedures that ISO demands," he said.
