Lesley is a broadcaster and sports commentator, and has previously represented New Zealand in hockey and cricket.

She is a director of Netball NZ, the coach of Marist Hockey Club, and a past chair of NZCT's Canterbury Regional Advisory Committee.

Lesley also has interests in Riccarton Cricket Club Inc, Christchurch Football Club Netball Club, Nelson Cricket, and Christchurch Football Club. In addition, she is President of Christchurch Metro Cricket and a member of ONE Cricket (NZ Cricket) and life member of Cricket New Zealand. She is also a trustee of Christchurch Stadium Trust.
