New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) has awarded a $20,000 grant to the Greymouth Squash Rackets Club to modernise their access control systems,. This new system will improve security and streamline the management of court usage.
Committee Executive Elizabeth Blakemore emphasised the benefits of the upgrade: “Knowing exactly who is using our courts at any time will provide a significant administrative advantage. This new system will enhance security and accountability, allowing us to promote our courts to non-members and make them more accessible to the wider community.”
Blakemore added, “Our current system is outdated. This grant will bring us up to standard and in line with other clubs nationwide.”
Young member Mackenzie Raymond, 14, expressed her excitement about the improvements: “It’s going to be really cool to be able to come to the club whenever I want to have a hit.”
NZCT’s GM of Grants, Marketing, and Communications Ben Hodges adds “We are excited to see how these enhancements will enable greater community access and participation at the club. We are grateful for the responsible gaming fundraising partnership we share with the Recreation Hotel that made our grant possible.”
