Paul Matheson QSO JP (retired) is a former Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Nelson and has been widely involved in many business and community organisations both locally and nationally.

Paul is a Paul Harris Fellow and a former Chairman of the New Zealand Mayors Taskforce for Jobs and has also served as a director of Nelson Airport and Port Company.

Paul has strong interests in cricket and rugby and is particularly supportive of youth participation in sport. He has also had many years’ involvement working with and representing NZCT across the upper South Island.
