Unique in-house service centre
NZCT is the only trust with a national, in-house machine service. 95% of service calls are logged at our office in Wellington. As our computer-based service system can detect faults remotely, we are often alerted to a fault, and have arranged a fix, before you’re aware of a problem. This allows us to identify manufacturing faults faster than any other trust, and deal directly with the manufacturer to get them fixed. We can offer your choice of service provider, as we deal with most providers nationwide.
Widest machine choice and the best technology
We have a policy of sourcing our gaming machines from a range of suppliers, so we have the widest choice available to players and can adopt the latest technology whenever it becomes available. Our venues enjoy more consistent investment than our competitors as we continually upgrade our machine fleet.
Extensive staff and gaming machine expertise
NZCT has highly qualified staff dedicated to maximising your venue performance while ensuring your staff are fully trained in harm minimisation, daily and weekly gaming operations, and how to handle armed hold-up situations. Several of our staff have more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of gaming.
Comprehensive problem gambling training
We provide comprehensive problem gambling training to you and your staff. You will be reminded of your obligation to ensure a person trained in harm minimisation is always on duty. To help achieve this, we have created an online harm minimisation training programme; the only society to have one. Our regional and area managers are available to train venue personnel one-on-one. We know how important it is to minimise your risk of incurring fines, loss of licence or prosecution.
Industry-leading compliance and best practice
NZCT is proud to lead the industry in compliance and best practice. We provide assurance through external audits, internal audits and management reporting. We are also the only gaming trust accredited to ISO 9001. Our compliance team is led by a lawyer with robust systems and procedures in place to ensure you and your staff are guided through the class 4 gaming sector’s minefield of regulatory and statutory requirements. Our staff will proactively complete compliance checks with you at least every 2 months.
Communications and advocacy on your behalf
NZCT makes submissions to councils on their gambling venues policy reviews and works with the Gaming Machine Association of NZ to lobby central government on issues of concern. We provide newsletters, emails about important issues, a professional website, and daily posts on social media to keep you up to date.
