Former Deputy Mayor of Rotorua, Trevor is the city's longest serving District Councillor with more than 30 years to his credit. Tourism New Zealand appointed Trevor as Kaupapa Director in 2008, and he is currently Chairman of the Opera in the Park organising committee, Deputy Chairman of Toi Maori (New Zealand Maori Arts Board), and a member of the Rotorua Civic Arts Trust, Lakeside Concert Charitable Trust and the Rotorua Tourism Board. Former leader of award-winning cultural group, Ngati Rangiwewehi, he was also the Te Arawa representative on the Aotearoa Performing Arts Committee.
Equestrian Sports NZ (ESNZ) received a grant of $10,600 towards costs associated with the cross-country course design for the recent NZ Three Day Equestrian Event Championship in Taupo
Coromandel Area School is over the moon about a $23,395 grant from NZCT for an enclosed trailer for the transportation of sports/event equipment and event management centre.
Te Puku o Te Ika Outrigger Canoe Association (TPOTI) has received a grant of $8,321 from NZCT towards covering the cost of safety boats, sound system, timing tower, venue hire, and traffic management.
