Paul's newspaper industry career spans almost 37 years. His most recent role was as General Manager of Fairfax Central Region, where he was responsible for publishing three daily newspapers (including The Dominion Post) and 15 community newspapers.
While working as Sports Editor, Paul spent six years reporting on the All Blacks (including the 1981 Springbok tour). He has had many sporting assignments ranging from Wimbledon tennis to the New Zealand women's softball team's participation in the world championships in Canada.
Paul is a current member of the New Zealand Parole Board. He is also a member of the Real Estate Agents Authority Complaints Assessment Committee and the Advertising Standards Authority Appeal Board.
Members of the Paraparaumu Beach Tennis Club were stoked to learn they had received a grant of $40,000 from NZCT towards an LED lighting upgrade.
