A $7,173.15 New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) grant to Waima Rugby Club for rugby training and essential equipment, will drive forward the club’s growth and development.

Te Ara Puketapu-Hunt, Women’s & Men’s Rugby Manager, shared, "The NZCT grant allows us to provide more opportunities for the community to participate in the club we worked so hard to bring back to life. Providing our men’s, women’s, and children’s teams with the proper training equipment means opportunities to improve their skills."

Waima Rugby Club is a pillar of strength and resilience within the Tokomaru Bay community. This grant is a beacon of hope, supporting residents of many small communities normally unable to attend due to financial challenges. The club can now thrive in the upcoming 2024 season securing a promising future for its members.
